Sangoma Records brings you a new compilation assembled by none other than Emiel himself who has been tweaking and fine-tuning this story to perfection and obsessing over the smallest details, which brings us to the theme of this release. "Mantis Mundi" is inspired by the phenomenal painting by the visionary and artistic genius Robert Steven Connett, and revolves around musicality in insects. The tiny, adorable, fascinating, and often alien-like creatures use sound to great advantage in trying to earn a living in a resource-limited, and frequently hostile, environment – making sounds like instrumentalists through specialized body parts and using many methods and techniques. It’s a noisy world out there if only you have the sense to hear it.
